WOW I had not heard of a lot of these before checking out this post! I love that you read so many different styles of books. It makes me want to get out of my slump where I’ve only been reading YA for the last couple months. Not that there’s anything wrong with YA, but I’ve definitely been prioritizing it more than I would normally.

Not all of these came off the top of my head! I did a lot of researching for this post, specifically because I wanted to try and include a range of genres.
I’m a bit like that at the moment too – I keep reading YA even though it isn’t really my favourite. I think it is because that’s the genre where a lot of diversity work is happening.

I guess I’m more of a mood reader than I’d like to admit. Earlier in the year I was all over the classics in my TBR pile, but the past few months I’ve just been gravitating toward YA. Part of it is the diversity element for sure, but I think it’s also where my head is at since I’ve been writing YA.

I’m probably gonna pick up The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue when I get back from my summer holiday in September! It sounds amazing, and I can’t wait to see some reviews.

Thanks for your comment – you are totallu right, I should have put more thought into that, and I apologise. What would be better? I used fat in an attempt to normalize the word – in my mind it is a descriptor just like tall or brunette.

Thanks! And me too – I found so many books that I just absolutely NEED! I’m probably going to do another diverse releases post in September, and go right the way through to December. 🙂
