mental health book bingo – recommended reads

So now that we’ve announced the squares, you must be looking for books to fulfil them!  Last year’s post can be found here. There are at least three recommendations for every bingo square. I have tried my best not to repeat any of the recommendations from last time to create a whole new recommendation list. The things I do for y’all!

(A note: I have not read all of these books. If any of them contain harmful content, please comment to let me know, and I will find a book to replace it.)

YES! I knew this was here somewhere. You can ignore my previous comment if you haven’t already responded to it. XD

I am so embarrassed to say I’ve only read 3 of the books on this list: Hyperbole and a Half, Starfish, and They Both Die in the End. But I’m also excited by that discrepancy! This means there are soooo many great books waiting for me to read.

Have you read any of these? I’m just curious if you know whether there is appropriate representation in these books. As someone who wants to learn more, I don’t want to fill my head with misrepresentative ideas. I know I am in an impressionable place in my development!

      No worries!
I’m afraid to say that I haven’t read a lot of them – I really do need to diversify my own mental health reading! However I loved Challenger Deep, Soft on Soft and The Space In Between. I’m currently in the middle of She Must Be Mad and it is excellent so far too!

There are so many amazing books out there, it’s hard to read them all. But I feel like mental health books don’t have a ton of visibility for some reason. I love that you do this so I can grow my TBR in a meaningful way. Good luck with your own bingo!
