Hello everyone. Sorry if I sound a little strange in this post, but I’ve been in the hospital for the past 3 days due to a broken ankle. I’m still quite foggy, but I wanted to get some blogging done nonetheless. So – the Liebster Award. I was tagged by Fleur, thank you!
1. Thank the person who nominated you.
2. Answer the 11 questions given to you.
3. Nominate 11 other blogs and give them 11 questions to answer on their post.
How do you take notes for your reviews?
I don’t actually tend to take notes – I probably should, because my memory is notoriously bad! However, I’ve been taking some notes in my bullet journal, such as these for One Day We’ll All Be Dead and None of This Will Matter:
What is your favourite bookish social media platform? Goodreads, book twitter, bookblr etc.
I’d probably have to say goodreads – book twitter can sometimes get a little bit overwhelming for me, and there are ridiculously high standards in other social media platforms, such as bookstagram! (My photography skills sometimes do not quite cut it in comparison to everyone else!) Whereas with goodreads I can just happily discover books.
What makes you want to read someone else’s book blog?
I recently wrote a post about this, actually! I think the main thing I look for is creativity – I don’t want to hear about the same books over and over again.
Who are some of your favourite bloggers?
There are SO MANY bloggers that I love! Consider all of you tagged!
Why do you blog?
I originally started blogging because I was told it would help me get into the publishing industry. I now blog because I honestly can’t imagine not blogging about books! It would feel weird to finish a book and not know what I wanted to say about it.
What kinds of books do you want to see more of?
I want to see more books where people unpack previously believed thoughts – beliefs that have been entrenched into their thought systems.
Which movie adaptation do you think might have superseded the book version?
Lord of the Rings. I honestly cannot stand the books, but the movies were very watchable.
What is one thing that you wish you could change about your blogging journey?
I don’t think I would change anything, really. I wish that I didn’t have as many blogging slumps, but that’s more of a mental health thing than a blogging thing.
What is the one thing that can make you hate a book?
Oooh, probably the main this is just bad writing. The plot can be excellent, but if the writing isn’t up to scratch, I’m not interested.
Which book do you want to see be made into a movie / tv show?
Excitingly, one of my favourite books, Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, is currently being made into a TV series!
If you’ve liked these questions, then I tag you!
