Okay, needless to say – my book ban is not going well. Or at all.
Ebooks:
Chameleon Moon | Do Not Say We Have Nothing | Nejma | Salt
The Other Half of Happiness| The Things I Would Tell You| Everything I Never Told You| The Bone Witch
The Vegetarian | Soft Magic | Grief is the Thing With Feathers | My Name is Leon
The Unexpected Inheritance of Inspector Chopra | We Were Liars | The Etymologicon | Letters From Medea
I know that’s a LOT of books, but they were all on sale, free, or on Kindle Unlimited, so all of these came to £20.56 which I think is a pretty awesome deal.
Paperback:
April is also my birthday, so I got some birthday books!
The Hate U Give | The Upside of Unrequited | White Tears
On Beauty | This Bridge Called my Back
If you’ve read any of these books, please let me know! I’m always interested in your opinions.

I read On Beauty in the autumn and it was very interesting! Not necessarily my kind of book, but I still enjoyed it.

Ooh lots of good books in your haul! And happy belated birthday too! 🙂 A lot of these are on my TBR. I’m trying to stick with my book buying ban, but it’s not going too well at all, lol. I didn’t realize Sophia Khan had a sequel! I still need to read the first one.

Thanks!! I just kept seeing them and going ‘eh, one more book won’t hurt’!
Yup, it has just come out, I believe. I thought the first one was really cute 🙂

Chameleon Moon is really cool. Quite different from most fantasies.
I read both of the Sofia Khan books last week, and the romance was real cute. However, there were small instances of both aro- and acephobia. I really liked the ending. It’s what I wanted but not what I expected.

I read somewhere that Chameleon Moon has a poly relationship in it? (I might be making this up.) If so, I’m super excited for that.
Yeah, I talked about that in my review too. I’m hoping it is something that the author will have worked on in the second novel.

Yes, it does. It has two! One with three people who I think all love each other. And one with a poly person who loves two other people. At least, that’s how I read it. I might be wrong with the constellations.
I think it was a bit better in the second novel but I read one after the other in the space of two days, so they’re combined in my head. I have to look at them again before reviewing them.

We Were Liars is one of my favorite books of all time, so I am so glad to see you got a copy! I’ll be on the lookout for your review. 🙂 And I’ve heard some great things about The Upside of Unrequited, so I hope you enjoy that too. Thanks for sharing and, as always, fabulous recap! ❤

Yup. I’d agree that your book ban isn’t really happening. But, well, that’s cool. We alllll do that sort of thing. 😀 I’m terrible about my book bans. I’ve just recognized I will never read all the books I want to. Ever. I believe in you! Don’t give up!

I really liked “salt,” though I don’t read poems much, and would like to try “soft magic.”

I think if you liked salt you’ll like soft magic – they are very similar. 🙂

So I’ve heard of them. Will see when I get to it though.
